Roberto Beltrán-Zavala is the Chief Conductor of the Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra (OSUG) in México and principal conductor of the International Palermo Classica Festival in Italy. In his last seasons, the activities of
maestro Beltrán-Zavala included debuts with orchestras in The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, Romania, Poland, Malta, Argentina and Mexico, conducting cornerstones of the repertoire such as the integral cycles of the symphonies of Dmitri Shostakovich and Gustav Mahler, as well as capital works of the 20th century by composers such as Stravinsky, Varèse, Boulez, Messiaen, Bartók and Ligeti.
His discography includes works by Dmitri Shostakovich (for BIS records) and Mahler’s third symphony for OSUG live. Roberto Beltrán Zavala has Mexican and Dutch nationality and lives in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
