Based in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City of Guanajuato in central México, the Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra (OSUG) is one of the oldest and most relevant orchestral ensembles in Latin América, with a long and
rich history and tradition. In its seventy years of existence, the orchestra has shared the stage with artists such as Yuja Wang, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Neeme Järvi, Francesca
Dego, the Brodsky Quartet, and Jörgen van Rijen and has made numerous international tours to major venues in Asia, Europe and the USA.
Its discography includes dozens of world premiere recordings for numerous labels, as well as works by Revueltas, Tchaikovsky, Mahler and Shostakovich. With an average of forty concerts per year, for all kinds of audiences, OSUG also carries out various educational and academic activities annually.
