Résolument actuel, Maxence Cyrin se produit dans des festivals de musique classique, comme “Piano aux Jacobins”, “1001 notes”, et travaille régulièrement aussi pour la Mode au travers de marques prestigieuses telles que Lanvin, Chanel, Hermès ou encore Valentino.
L’album Novö Piano 2, dans lequel on retrouve aussi bien des reprises de Björk, Billy Idol, que de l’artiste français Dominique A, est sorti en novembre 2015.
Maxence Cyrin is a french pianist and composer. After training at the conservatory, he moved on electronic music and made several records during the 90’s.
In 2005, he released Modern Rhapsodies on Fcom, the label founded by DJ Laurent Garnier, where he reinterprets iconic thems of electronic music artists like Massive Attack, Depeche Mode and Moby as a solo pianist.
In 2009, he made a second album in a similar vein, entitled Novö Piano in wich he adapted pop, rock and electro tracks from artists such as Nirvana, Daft Punk or The Pixies of which the clip “Where is my mind” was seen about 4 million times on YouTube.
In 2012, he released an album of original material, The Fantasist, an imaginary soundtrack for piano, strings and keyboards (harpsichord, organ, vintage synthesizers)
In 2014, he sign with Evidence Records (part of Aparté records that belongs to famous sound engineer Nicolas Bartholomée). He release in January 2015 an album entitled Nocturnes, made up of 10 original pieces wich propose a musical journey at night.
Maxence also works regularly for the fashion industry with brands like Valentino, Lanvin, Chanel or Hermes, and has also composed many musics for silent movies from pioneers of French cinema (Jean Epstein, Albert Capellani).
He works actually on a new cover album entitled “Novo Piano 2″ in wich we can fin as well Björk, Billy Idol as the french singer Dominique A. The release is planned in fall 2015.(C) Manuel Javier Richy
